The company was established as a dependent trading company of Gustaf Fagerberg AB, Gothenburg. Only one year later, the transformation into "GEFA Industriearmaturen GmbH" – today's "GEFA Processtechnik GmbH" – was completed. 

Since the beginning the Valve technology (e.g. butterfly valves and ball valves) is the company’s core business. Over the years, the commercial products have given way to our own products which have been influenced by customer requirements and our product experience. 

In the course of the company’s development, our product range has been expanded by another main pillar – Filter Technology. We do offer innovative and specialized products for the use in the diverse application range of water supply and distribution as well as general industry. 

Our product portfolio is rounded off by measuring and control technology. Here we market regulating components, control elements and complete control system technology. 

We are looking forward to offering you our innovative power in connection with the know-how we have gained over the years.

We have know-how that we gathered over years and next to maintenance, we also offer the inspection as well as the revision of our products. Thereby, customer satisfaction is our ultimate goal.

As one of the leading manufacturers of industrial valves, in slightly more than 20 countries today, the GEFA Processtechnik GmbH recognises its responsibility towards its customers and business partners with this guideline. The compliance of relevant national and international laws and regulations is a matter of course for us. The responsible employees assess the effectiveness of the management system by means of regular controls and arrange suitable corrective and improvement measures, if necessary. We engage in an open and trustful dialogue with employees[1], government authorities, customers, and suppliers, as well as with the interested public. For over 50 years the GEFA Processtechnik GmbH has been a special manufacturer in the area of industrial valves, filtration technology, as well as for measuring and control technology. The trust of our costumers is thus very important and a basic prerequisite for a successful partnership. Experience, groundwork and high-tech in construction and production are our strength, supplemented by a strong quality assurance concept and safe storage.

Every employee must know and comply with the applicable rules, guidelines and procedures for health and safety within his or her work area. Additionally, every individual has the responsibility to inform other employees about health and safety risks too, if necessary and eliminate circumstances, which impede the manufacture of products of flawless quality. Thereby, respectful treatment among each other is very important for us. All employees of the GEFA are obligated to fulfil the contents of this code of conduct. Furthermore, superiors are responsible to act as a role model in every aspect, to particularly supervise the demanded behaviours in the name of the GEFA and to promote our company culture with regard to professionalism, ethics, and compliance.

 

Occupational safety and environmental protection

In consideration of the economic and social framework conditions, we constantly work to implement preventive measure in occupational safety, health protection, and environmental protection. Compliance with the applicable legislation and our binding commitment is a matter of course for us. Through a suitable management system we ensure that the tasks in all operational functions and levels are implemented. For this reason, the GEFA occupational safety and health protection management system has been introduced. From it results the commitment of maintaining the health of all parties involved in this process.

The sustainable use of the natural resources energy, water, soil, and air as well as all other raw materials is particularly important for us and our continuous pursuit for improvement of this use of resources. Every employee shall include the environmental management in the operational process by prudent and responsible action.

 

Data protection/confidentiality/information security

The GEFA Processtechnik GmbH is aware of the requirements of the company and IT safety, as well as data protection. All employees as well as costumers and business partners are included in the legal regulations that we follow. Safety and data protection are tasks of every manager and every individual employee. Thus it is the duty of every individual employee to treat sensitive data according to the safety regulations. We protect our company against risks and threats with the relevant technology.
